Master of Tropical Medicine & Infectious Disease  

M.Sc. Tropical Medicine & Infectious Disease is  the program will focus on the control of infectious diseases that are endemic in tropical countries. The following groups of health conditions are covered in detail: tropical diseases targeted for elimination, helminth diseases, diarrheal diseases, diseases lacking adequate control, vaccine-preventable diseases, and “the big three” (HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis). As a group, we will spend a significant amount of time studying the biology, epidemiology, and control of diseases such as onchocerciasis, Chagas’ disease, lymphatic filariasis, and leprosy, dengue, leishmaniasis, human African trypanosomiasis, HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculo sis
