The COVID-19 has effected global in many ways including the economic crisis, transportation system, production and other. these problems direct and indirect effected the society and state relationships for example Somalia has been reported those challenges as following:
UN reported "Somalia is highly vulnerable to both the COVID-19 virus and the socio-economic dimensions of the crisis. Its first cases of infection have also appeared at a time of heightened political tension over forthcoming parliamentary and presidential elections"
SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SECRETARY-GENERAL FOR SOMALIA STATEMENT TO THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL said that ,"Prior to the global pandemic, Somalia had set ambitious national priorities for 2020. These include the holding of the first direct elections in Somalia since 1969. As this Council noted in November, the holding of peaceful, inclusive, credible and transparent one-person-one-vote elections would be a historic step in rebuilding Somalia and would assist with the country’s continued democratic development".
