Overview

1.0        INTRODUCTION

M.Sc. Environmental Management or Master of Science in Environmental Management is a postgraduate Environmental Science course. Environmental Sustainability includes waste materials management, water, air and soil contamination reduction practices and the development and implementation of effective environmental management systems. The speciality also focuses on defining solutions for the efficient use of land and water resources for the good of all communities. The course syllabus is split into three semesters and students have several career opportunities after completing it.

M.Sc. Environmental Management Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission into the course of M.Sc. Environmental Management have to fulfil the points mentioned in the eligibility criterion of their desired institute. The eligibility criterion is fairly simple and is mostly similar across all the institutes offering this course. Precisely, the eligibility criterion for M.Sc. Environment Management looks like this: -

·         Aspiring students should have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent in subjects like Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Engineering or Geography, & in any field except mathematics and statistics

• The applications are scrutinized on individual basis and the candidates with relevant experience in this field are most preferred.

• He/she must have obtained at least 55% marks in such a Bachelor’s Degree.

• Some Universities also accept students with B.E./B.Tech students with Civil, Agriculture and Chemical Streams.
